About Us

The National Boccia Association of Armenia was established on 7 July 2022 to develop boccia in Armenia, support cooperation between clubs, build the skills of athletes and sports professionals, and promote participation in national and international competitions. The Association is chaired by Suren Maghakyan. It is listed as a Full Member by World Boccia. According to the Association’s records, its membership began in January 2023.

History

The first boccia championship in Armenia was held in 2010 on the initiative of the Armenian National Federation of Disabled Sports, followed by further championships in 2011 and 2013 together with the Carolyn Cox Rehabilitation Centre. From 2015, the NGO “Full Life” organised annual open boccia championships.
